Naturally, to set such an achievement, a top-of-the-line 761-horsepower Porsche Taycan Turbo S was needed. For the record, they also chose a larger venue – the huge hall of the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center in New Orleans. The building, by the way, stretches for a whole kilometer and was just right for the run.

True, it wasn't without difficulties. The fact is that the polished concrete floor in the room turned out to be as slippery as ice. So the all-wheel drive of the Porsche Taycan came in handy.

Lech Kien improved the previous record by as much as 25 km/h. Earlier in 2013, famous rally driver Mikko Hirvonen accelerated a SpeedCar XTreme buggy to 140 km/h in the Helsinki exhibition center. But it is worth noting that that car cannot be called production, unlike the Porsche Taycan Turbo S.
