An unusual demonstration of an electric car's capabilities took place at Frankfurt Airport, organized jointly by Mini and airline Lufthansa. As part of this event, the electric vehicle towed an airliner, on which the electric crossover BMW iNext was first presented in 2018.
According to available information, the new Mini Cooper S E will be equipped with a powertrain borrowed from the BMW i3S model. It is based on an electric motor with 184 horsepower and 270 N·m of torque, powered by a battery pack with a capacity of 44 kWh. A full charge of the batteries will be enough for approximately 270 kilometers of travel, according to WLTP cycle data.
