For Porsche 918 Spyder owners, a new recall campaign has been announced. The reason was the detection of corrosion on the tie rods, which could provoke the appearance of cracks and failure of the steering, and therefore — loss of control over the car. However, as noted in the company, so far this defect has not caused a single accident.
305 Spyder 2015 model year cars sold in the United States will be sent to service centers.
The Porsche 918 Spyder, although produced in a limited edition (only 918 units) and with a price tag of a million dollars, turned out to be one of the most capricious models of the brand. This ultra-fast hybrid is being recalled for the sixth time, and the previous service campaign also concerned malfunctions in the chassis.
