GM-AvtoVAZ joint venture announced the start of a recall campaign that will cover 2736 Chevrolet Niva SUVs.
The reason for the recall was a defect found in the fuel tank, related to a poor-quality weld, which over time could lead to a breach in the fuel system's integrity.
SUVs produced between November 1 and 28, 2016, are subject to a free replacement of the tank.
