AvtoVAZ head Nicolas Maure admitted that retail prices for the brand's cars are inflated, especially in the most affordable segment, which includes the Lada Granta. He made this statement after a meeting with suppliers in Tolyatti, as reported by Interfax news agency.
Maure noted that as a result of the negotiations, he expects to achieve a reduction in production costs. The company's key requirement is to increase the share of purchases paid in rubles. In addition, he set the task of increasing the level of production localization by 10% over the next three years.
Nicolas Maure was appointed head of AvtoVAZ on March 15, 2016.
