
The new product is a Lada Vesta CNG sedan capable of running on both gasoline and compressed natural gas. At AvtoVAZ, they clarified that sales will start only after final testing is completed.

The dual-fuel version has an expanded fuel filler flap: it now houses two connectors — one for gasoline, the other for gas. The range reaches 1000 kilometers. If the gas runs out, the electronics automatically switch the engine to gasoline, but the driver can also do this manually.

The factory reported that the price of the methane version will exceed the cost of the standard gasoline model by 20%. At the same time, interest in methane-powered cars is constantly growing in Europe, so AvtoVAZ is likely planning to supply such cars specifically to the European market.
