China retains world leadership in car sales, with 13 million 155 thousand vehicles sold in January-June (+2.5%). The second largest global car market remains America with 8 million 441 thousand vehicles (-2.2%).

Car sales in Western European countries increased by 3.7% to 8 million 738 thousand units. The car markets of Eastern European countries are also showing growth – in the first half of the year they rose by 6.1% to 1 million 953 thousand vehicles.

In South America, local dealers sold 1 million 424 thousand cars, which is 11.8% more than in May last year. Among the world's largest car markets, it is also worth mentioning Japan (2 million 748 thousand units, +9.4%), Canada (1 million 039 thousand units, +5.1%) and Korea (882.1 thousand units, -3.5%).
