Jaguar F-Pace has been awarded the title of "World Car of the Year"

The main prize of "World Car of the Year" and the win in the best design category went to the Jaguar F-Pace crossover. In tight competition, the British model beat two rivals from Germany — the Audi Q5 and Volkswagen Tiguan. In the design category, the F-Pace also surpassed the Toyota C-HR and Mercedes-Benz S-Class Cabriolet.

In the luxury segment, the Mercedes-Benz E-Class was recognized as the best. Among sports cars, the victory went to the Porsche Boxster/Cayman pair from Stuttgart. The BMW i3 electric car received the title of best city car, and the Toyota Prius Prime hybrid became the winner in the "green" nomination.

Last year, the winner of the "World Car of the Year" competition was the Mazda MX-5 roadster, which, like the F-Pace, also received the design award.
