As expected, the new "five" received the maximum number of stars, but it was not without drawbacks. In particular, the knee airbag deployed with a delay and failed to protect the driver's legs from excessive load. In addition, the rating was reduced by the absence of a number of safety systems in the standard configuration.
The updated Fiat Doblo, on the contrary, had to settle for only three stars. The restyling did not affect the safety level of the car, which by design remained at the level of 2010. The airbag did not prevent the head from hitting the steering wheel, the head restraints did not provide sufficient protection against whiplash, and the rear door deformed in a frontal collision.
