Chrysler has completed production of the 200 sedan, which appeared in the brand's model lineup just 2 years ago.
The discontinuation of the car, first introduced in the spring of 2014, is due to a sharp decline in consumer interest. This year, sales of this model are running about three times worse compared to the previous year.
The plant where the Chrysler 200 was produced will be repurposed for the assembly of a new generation of the Ram 1500 pickup truck. Retooling the factory will take approximately twelve months.
