The German dealer of the Dacia brand, Autohaus Geimer GmbH, has shared information about the starting prices for the new Duster crossover. According to this data, the initial cost of the model will be 13,000 euros, which is approximately 17,800 US dollars. Thus, the car turns out to be twice as expensive as the Renault Logan sedan, whose platform formed the basis of the SUV.

So far, prices are known only for versions with front-wheel drive and manual transmission. The base trim Ambiance, equipped with a 1.6-liter gasoline engine with 105 horsepower, is priced at 13,040 euros (17,900 dollars). If you choose the modification with a 1.5-liter diesel engine, the surcharge will be almost three thousand euros.

The more equipped version Laureate will cost from 16,630 euros (22,800 dollars). The list of standard equipment for both modifications includes air conditioning, central locking, and power windows. For comparison: the base price of the Renault Logan on the European market is 6,000 euros (8,200 dollars).

There is no information yet about the cost of all-wheel-drive versions of the Duster. However, it was previously reported that such a car in maximum configuration would be priced at approximately 17,000 euros (23,300 dollars).

Production of the Dacia Duster started at the end of 2009, but official sales will begin no earlier than March.
