The incident occurred on one of the country roads in Nottinghamshire. As follows from the 31-second video (see below), the Briton faced a serious obstacle in the form of a "lake" that formed on a slightly sloping road due to heavy rainfall. However, instead of finding an alternative route, or at least trying to drive through the puddle slowly, the Jaguar driver plowed into the puddle at full speed (the footage even shows the license plate being torn off the car). Obviously, he hoped that high speed would help the car break through the trap, but instead the F-Pace suffered a severe hydrostatic lock.

When the crossover emerged from the water, it immediately stalled. After several attempts to start, the four-cylinder diesel finally came to life, but water began to pour from its exhaust pipe and clouds of smoke billowed out. In addition, the car began to emit far from the most pleasant sound.
Most likely, the F-Pace now needs expensive repairs. Or it may even be written off as a drowned vehicle.
It is worth noting that the Jaguar F-Pace is not a cheap car. In Ukraine, prices for this model start from 1.7 million UAH.
