The incident occurred in the state of Oregon. As can be seen in the photo, the pickup truck driver parked right next to a Tesla Supercharger, and even if the arriving EV driver could still pull out the charging cable and connect it to the car, it's not a fact that there was room to park the electric car itself – most likely, the pickup completely blocked access to the charging station.

It is worth noting that this is not the first time in the States that they have tried to mock owners of electric cars. As in many other areas of life, American society is polarized regarding the "acceptance" of electric vehicles. While some fall in love with them, others show irrational hatred towards electric cars and are not shy about demonstrating it publicly. The latter mostly include owners of massive SUVs and pickup trucks, who deliberately park in places designated for charging, thereby blocking access for drivers who want to charge their electric vehicle. In this case, Tesla owners are mainly the punching bags, since cars of this particular brand embody the "evil" for fans of fuel-powered cars.
