AUTO-Consulting experts studied data on state purchases of pickup trucks during 2024 and published interesting information about which state institutions bought new vehicles of this type and in what volumes. It is worth noting right away: the good news is that military structures received the most such vehicles. So there is no reason for panic in this matter.

Toyota Hilux

In the structure of Toyota Hilux purchases, two organizations acted as the main customers. Military unit T0950 purchased 151 vehicles, spending 267 million hryvnias, and the National Police of Ukraine — 150 pickups for 233 million hryvnias. Also, 58 units of this model for 86 million hryvnias were ordered by PJSC Ukrnafta, 57 vehicles for 107 million hryvnias — by the State Service of Special Communications, and 50 vehicles worth 73 million hryvnias — by LKP Ratusha-Service.

Peugeot Landtrek

The most active buyer of Peugeot Landtrek was the National Police of Ukraine — a total of 150 vehicles, with 100 of them purchased in November and the remaining 50 in July. The total cost of this contract reached 223 million hryvnias. In addition, 100 such pickups worth 151 million hryvnias were received by the Liut Joint Assault Brigade of the National Police.

Mitsubishi L200

Among buyers of Mitsubishi L200, the largest number of vehicles was ordered by SE Forests of Ukraine — 111 units for 163 million hryvnias. The Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense added 57 such pickups to its fleet, spending 87 million hryvnias. Another 30 vehicles of this model were purchased by the Lutsk and Vinnytsia city councils.

Great Wall Wingle

The main buyer of Great Wall Wingle pickups was the Defense Procurement Agency — a total of 354 vehicles. Due to martial law, details regarding specific Wingle versions are not disclosed, however, in August the Ministry of Defense reported the transfer of 154 such vehicles to military units. Additionally, the Kryvyi Rih City Council purchased 50 Great Wall Wingle 7 pickups for 53 million hryvnias.

Tata Xenon X2

The lion's share of Tata Xenon X2 purchases fell to LLC Gas Transmission System Operator of Ukraine — 136 vehicles for a total of 173 million hryvnias. This constitutes 85% of all purchases of this model.
