Test results showed that the new Caddy has not only become safer, but also one of the most popular passenger cars currently available, which perform excellently in various crash scenarios.

The new multifunctional Volkswagen Caddy is built on the modular MQB platform with a transverse engine layout, which is also used in the Golf model. Thus, many new technologies have been introduced in the Caddy, making it more practical, comfortable, and safer.

According to the detailed Euro NCAP test report, the safety rating for adult occupants in the new Caddy is 84%, while the protection rating for child occupants reached 82%. The new Caddy also received high scores for the presence of a number of safety systems, which played an important role in awarding the car the maximum five stars.

New passive safety options, such as head airbags for all rows of seats (regardless of whether the car has two, five, or seven seats) and protection for the driver and passenger in the event of a side impact, helped the Caddy achieve the maximum Euro NCAP score. In the event of a crash, the protection system inflates an airbag between the driver and the front passenger. In addition, thanks to wireless data transmission, the function of warning passengers to fasten their seat belts has become available even for the Caddy with removable seats.
