The Selena EC-4 is based on the Chery QQ hatchback, so there are no problems finding parts for the body or suspension. Under the hood of the electric car are gel batteries, and in the trunk are an electric motor and an additional block of the same batteries.
Because of this, there is little free space left for cargo, but the range should be enough for 200 kilometers. The maximum speed of the Selena EC-4 is limited to 55 km/h, but after "chip tuning" you can accelerate faster, though not for long.
Ten gel batteries with a capacity of 130 amp-hours each power the electric motor (power 4 kW, voltage 60 volts) with direct current and are characterized by low self-discharge. Their main advantage is that they tolerate low temperatures well, only slightly losing capacity. A full charge of the batteries from a regular home outlet takes 8 hours.
The Selena EC-4 is one of the models of a Chinese electric vehicle manufacturer, and it was chosen for the Ukrainian market because of the widespread presence of the "donor" Chery QQ in our country.
