The Ram 1500 TRX is based on a reinforced high-strength steel frame, complemented by hydroformed elements. The front suspension is fully independent, while the rear features a Dana 60 axle with a five-link setup. The pickup is also equipped with adaptive Bilstein Black Hawk e2 shock absorbers and 35-inch Goodyear Wrangler Territory All-Terrain tires. Ground clearance is increased to 300 mm, and suspension travel to 330 mm.

Powering the Ram 1500 TRX is a HEMI V8 6.2 with a supercharger, familiar from the Hellcat series. The engine produces 712 hp (881 Nm) and works in conjunction with a reinforced 8-speed automatic transmission TorqueFlite 8HP95 and a BorgWarner transfer case. The pickup accelerates to 60 mph (97 km/h) in 4.4 seconds, and to 100 mph (161 km/h) in 10.5 seconds. The quarter mile (402 m) is covered in 12.9 seconds with a trap speed of 174 km/h. The top speed is not very impressive at 190 km/h.

The interior of the TRX version can be ordered with fabric/vinyl or leather/suede upholstery combined with carbon fiber inserts, and all of it can be complemented by a 900-watt Harman Kardon audio system with 19 speakers. Additionally, Mopar offers more than 100 accessories for the model.

The Ram 1500 TRX pickup will be produced at the Sterling Heights Assembly Plant in Michigan. Prices for the model start at $70,095. The limited Launch Edition, featuring a special gray body color, will cost $90,265. The production run of this version will be 702 units (the number of horsepower in the American specification).
