Among the reasons for the price increase, AutoScout24 points to the consistently high demand for used cars – this trend emerged a year ago, with the start of the coronavirus pandemic and the introduction of quarantine restrictions. At the same time, the used car market itself is no longer being replenished with new offers as actively.

Another reason is that there are more fresh cars on the secondary market, which, of course, cost more. Finally, the segment of used electric vehicles is also growing – these cars are also known for their high prices.

However, the biggest price jump occurred in the segment of used luxury cars. Here, cars have risen in price on average to 56,055 euros – this is 3% more than a month earlier. So Ukrainians, who mostly import cheap used cars from Europe, should not worry too much.

Interestingly, back in January 2021, the price difference compared to the same period last year was 800 euros. That is, over a couple of months, used cars in Europe have increased in price by 200 euros.
