Joy Falotico, who heads Lincoln, spoke about how the brand plans to strengthen its position in China.

As the head stated, the plant in China should be operational by 2022. Five models of the brand will come off the assembly line of the new enterprise: Aviator, MKC, MKZ, Nautilus, and a crossover not yet officially presented.

The need for production localization arose due to a significant increase in import duties on cars from the USA — their value jumped from 2.5% to 25%, and this decision was made by the Chinese authorities last week.
