The KIA brand managed to hold on to its first place from last year, while another Korean brand, Genesis, which is the premium division of Hyundai, managed to displace Porsche from second place.

The quality rating was traditionally compiled based on a survey of 80 thousand owners of new cars, who answered 233 questions regarding malfunctions detected during the first 90 days from the moment of leaving the dealership. The victory goes to the brand with the lowest average number of defects per 100 sold cars.

KIA's leading result is 72 breakdowns per 100 cars. The 'silver medalist' Genesis just slightly outpaced Porsche – 77 defects versus 78.

The most problematic were cars of the Fiat brand – 163 malfunctions. Also among the closing outsiders of the rating were again Jaguar (148) and Volvo (134).
