“Today we gave you a small gift - I hope it will now be much easier to get to the resort town of Khmilnyk,” said the Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine.

As noted in the Ministry of Infrastructure, RA 630M routes will allow residents of the region to make trips quickly and at an affordable price on the sections Hrechany-Shepetivka, Starokostiantyniv-Kalynivka, Hrechany-Vinnytsia, Hrechany-Khmilnyk, Vinnytsia-Khmelnytskyi.

For comparison: the ticket price from Vinnytsia to Khmelnytskyi on the rail bus is 15.69 UAH, while a trip by minibus costs 35 UAH.

“The new rail bus presented today is comfort for the passenger, and for the railway it is still cost optimization, because it is more economical than the diesel train that ran before,” noted the General Director of Ukrzaliznytsia Volodymyr Kozak. - However, we want more. The problem of suburban transport service needs to be solved at the systemic state level. Together with central executive authorities locally, local self-government bodies, city mayors, and representatives of the Ministry of Infrastructure, it is necessary to develop a system for organizing suburban service based on the most efficient economic costs and passenger demand. Calculate the economics of the transportation process - where it is profitable to run a bus - run a bus, where there is demand for electric trains - keep electric trains, where there is a large passenger flow but sections are not electrified - electrify them, where there is a need for rail buses - we will provide rail buses. The railway is even ready to help local authorities buy vehicles, but to get rid of economically unjustified costs for maintaining outdated rolling stock used in suburban service.”

The rail bus of the 630M series, manufactured in Poland, consists of two motor cars. The bus with a modern interior is equipped with a safety system, air conditioning system, and is designed to carry 308 passengers. Speed - 120 km\hour.

According to Ukrzaliznytsia, with the introduction of the 630M rail bus, the railway will reduce its operating costs by an average of 8.9 million UAH per year.
