The prime minister explained his choice by saying that AVTOVAZ is the country's leading car manufacturer, and it was the plant workers who asked him to include this model in the motorcade to test its behavior over long distances.
"We should not forget that VAZ produces the most affordable and widespread car in Russia, used by millions of citizens. We need to evaluate it in action. The plant has equipped it — I believe the enterprise representatives have already told you — with the GLONASS system and other modern solutions. Let's see how all this performs on the road," the head of government concluded.
