The Audi Q7 entered the market in 2006, becoming the brand's first full-fledged crossover (the Allroad wagon is not considered). The Audi Q7 is based on a shared platform with the Volkswagen Touareg and Porsche Cayenne crossovers, but the Q7 is noticeably larger than its 'siblings'. In 2008, the top version of the crossover was released, equipped with a 12-cylinder diesel engine with a torque of 1000 Nm.
