Kristina Rodionova asks:
How to properly make a U-turn on Lepse Boulevard if you are driving from the bridge (from Borshchahivska Street)? Should you move along the near trajectory (orange arrows) or the far one (blue arrows)?

The experts of the Karat driving school answer:
According to clause 10.4 of the traffic rules, before starting a turn, the driver must change lanes in advance to the extreme left position in their lane (unless sign 5.16 "Directions of travel along lanes" prescribes otherwise). At the same time, during the maneuver, you must not drive into the oncoming lane, which in this case is the part of the roadway closest to you adjacent to the boulevard (marked with orange arrows). Therefore, the correct trajectory for a U-turn is the one shown with blue arrows.
Result: for a safe maneuver, you should make a U-turn along the far trajectory (blue arrows).
Recall that in the previous article we discussed how to properly turn left on Lepse Boulevard.
