Andriy asks:
Odesa bridge. I am driving along Hlushkova Avenue towards the center of Kyiv. Before the bridge, a car (in the photo — a Tavria) enters the main road from a secondary road. I need to turn right onto the bridge, so I must change lanes into the lane where the car from the secondary road entered. Who of us must yield?

The experts of the Karat driving school answer:
Clause 10.3 of the traffic rules states:
- When changing lanes, the driver must yield to vehicles traveling in the same direction in the lane they intend to enter.
- If vehicles moving in the same direction change lanes simultaneously, the one on the left yields — it must let the vehicle on the right pass.
In your situation, you must let the Tavria pass.
Result:
You must yield
Let us remind you that we have already started discussing the topic of priority when changing lanes in the article "Traffic rules lessons: at what point does a car entering from a secondary road become an obstacle on the right?"
