This month, 674 new buses were brought to the Ukrainian market, which are a quarter cheaper than last year — the price difference is 24%. The used car sector from China fell much more noticeably: only 145 units versus 467 in January 2024, a decrease of 69%. Notably, 82% of all imports from China are electric cars. Chinese brands are increasingly strengthening their position in the eco-friendly transport segment in our country, despite a general decline in interest in them.
Top five among new cars from China
- BYD Song Plus – 155 units.
- ZEEKR 001 – 59 units.
- ZEEKR 7X – 41 units.
- VOLKSWAGEN ID.4 – 39 units.
- AUDI Q4 e-tron – 39 units.
The most sought-after new car was the BYD Song Plus — this model, which has already gained popularity on the Chinese market, is gradually winning favor among Ukrainian drivers.
Top five among used cars of Chinese origin
- ZEEKR 001 – 18 units.
- ZEEKR 7X – 15 units.
- POLESTAR 2 – 11 units.
- VOLKSWAGEN ID.4 – 10 units.
- AUDI Q4 e-tron – 8 units.
In the used car category, ZEEKR 001 maintained its lead. Although January demand for cars from China weakened, over the entire 2024, their sales in Ukraine grew by 18%.
