As it turned out in the editorial office of AvtoPortal, the reason for the suspension of sales was the update of the Cabinet of Ministers resolution No. 1236 of December 9, 2020, which fixed maximum trade markups on fuel. At least five large gas station chains reported that after adjusting fuel prices (i.e., introducing state regulation), they had to temporarily remove premium grades of gasoline and diesel fuel from their shelves.
At the same time, regular A-95 gasoline and diesel fuel meeting the Euro-5 standard remain available.
However, some other gas stations, on the contrary, not only continue to sell premium fuel but have also reduced their prices.
Representatives of the chains apologized to drivers for the temporary inconvenience and asked them to keep an eye on updates until the situation is resolved.
