In the video published on YouTube by a user with the nickname Yuri Petrovich, you can notice that the state license plate of the car looks standard externally — all letters and numbers are clearly distinguishable. However, the laser speed meter TruCam failed to read one of the plate characters, which is clearly visible in the recording: instead of the required digit, an empty space appeared on the device's screen. Apparently, the driver treated the license plate with a special varnish or used a special film.

How this situation ended remains unknown, but from a formal point of view, such a trick can hardly be called an offense: the plate is not covered by foreign objects, is not dirty, and is distinguishable from a distance of 20 meters, as prescribed by traffic rules. For non-compliance with these requirements, a fine of 850 hryvnias is provided, and if the violation is repeated within a year, the amount will increase to 1700 hryvnias.
