Let us immediately note that all MG cars are produced in China, at the facilities of the brand owner, the SAIC Motor concern.
MG HS
MG HS is a compact crossover (length - 4.5 m), produced since 2018. It is equipped with different engines, but in Europe it is a 1.5-liter engine with 162 hp, which works in tandem with a 6-speed manual or 7-speed automatic. Apparently, such units will be available here too. Although it is possible that a hybrid version will also be available: with a 291-horsepower unit, which, by the way, is paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission. Expected price - from 29-30 thousand dollars.
MG ZS EV
MG ZS EV is a subcompact electric crossover (length - 4.3 m), appeared in 2018. It is driven by a 143-horsepower electric motor, which is powered by a battery with a capacity of 44.5 kWh. Acceleration to 100 km/h - 3.1 seconds, range on a single charge - 260 km (WLTP cycle). Expected price - from 36 thousand dollars. Interesting fact - now ZS EV is considered the cheapest electric car in Australia.
MG ZS
MG ZS is the progenitor of the electric ZS EV, debuted back in 2017, and over the past time has even managed to survive a facelift (in 2019). In the EU, the car is supplied with two engines - 1.0 turbo with 111 hp and 1.5 with 106 hp (transmissions - 5MT and 6AT). There is also another engine 1.3. The car is quite budget-friendly, the approximate cost in Ukraine is from 22 thousand dollars.
MG 5
MG 5 is a compact car produced in sedan, station wagon, and hatchback body styles (since 2020, the second generation has been on the assembly line). There are both fuel and electric versions. They promise to bring us exactly the petrol sedan (its length is 4.67 m): it has two 1.5-liter engines, one of which is naturally aspirated (120 hp), the other is turbocharged (170 hp). The gearbox is a 5-speed manual or 7-speed automatic. Approximate price - from 15 thousand dollars. By the way, it is not sold in Europe.
MG Marvel R
MG Marvel R is a mid-size electric crossover, the latest novelty of the brand - it debuted only in March 2021. It is equipped with an electric motor with a capacity of 288 hp and a battery with a capacity of 69.9 kWh. Acceleration to "hundreds" - 4.9 seconds, maximum speed - 200 km/h, range on a single charge - 400+ km according to the WLTP cycle. It will cost not cheap, about 40 thousand or even 45 dollars. But it has rich equipment, for example, there is a digital instrument panel with a diagonal of 12.3 inches, as well as multimedia with a 19.4-inch vertically oriented screen.
