As reported by the association "Ukravtoprom", on April 1, 2021, the State Customs Service sent a letter to its departments with instructions "On transportation costs". It defines a new procedure for calculating the customs value.
Now, not only the price of the car and all taxes and fees will be taken into account, but also the cost of delivering it to Ukraine. Previously, for all used cars from the USA, the customs indicated an amount of 400 dollars. However, now the delivery will be calculated depending on the distance to one or another American port.
The cost of delivering a car from the USA ranges from 700 to 1300 dollars. Accordingly, the VAT (20%) will also increase, because previously this tax on delivery was 80 dollars, and now it is approximately 140-260 dollars.
