Ukrainians spent $2.5 billion on imported cars

So, compared to the same period last year, the import of vehicles increased by 2.8 times.

All categories of automobile imports showed growth, but the main factor ensuring positive dynamics was the increase in passenger car supplies — by 3.2 times.

From January to July of this year, 341,286 passenger cars were imported into the country, with a total customs value of $2 billion 11 million.

Imports of trucks and special equipment over the same period increased by 22%, reaching 28,355 units, and revenue of suppliers of these vehicles amounted to $497 million against $467 million for the same period a year earlier.

Purchase of buses abroad cost Ukraine $33.1 million. With these funds, 1,258 buses were purchased, which is 19% more than in the first seven months of 2018.
