The main share of this statistic was taken by passenger cars — 4,441 units, while commercial vehicles accounted for only 350 units.

At the same time, the dynamics differ: if the number of registered passenger electric cars increased by 47% compared to the same period last year, then interest in electric commercial vehicles increased by 2.1 times.

Ukrainian buyers still prefer used electric vehicles. Thus, from January to August of this year, imported cars with mileage accounted for 91% of the primary market for passenger electric cars, and in the commercial vehicle segment this figure reached 95%.

The leader among passenger electric vehicles in Ukraine remains NISSAN Leaf. In the first eight months of 2019, 2,207 such cars were transferred to domestic plates.

Following the leader, the top ten most popular electric cars, albeit with a noticeable gap, included: TESLA Model S — 384 units; BMW i3 — 243; FIAT 500e — 207; VOLKSWAGEN E-Golf — 198; RENAULT Zoe — 186; MERCEDES-BENZ B-Class Electric Drive — 155; TESLA Model X — 136; CHEVROLET Bolt — 126; JAGUAR I-Pace — 102.

In the commercial sector, almost the entire picture was determined by the RENAULT Kangoo Z.E. model, which received 323 registrations since the beginning of the year.
