Yes, in March, out of 55.3 thousand passenger cars registered for the first time in Ukraine, only 7.3 thousand were new. As a result, the replenishment of the national car fleet in March consisted of 87% imported second-hand cars; during the month, Ukrainians registered 48 thousand customs-cleared cars that were not fresh.
In total, following the results of the first quarter of this year, 184.4 thousand used passenger cars imported from other countries received Ukrainian registration, which is almost 10 times more than a year earlier, and their share in the primary market was 91 percent.
The most popular car among this number was the Volkswagen Passat. Over three months since the beginning of the year, Ukrainians brought and registered 18,591 used Passats.
Another representative of the German people's brand, the Volkswagen Golf, became the second most popular in the primary market of automotive second-hand cars. Since the beginning of the year, 9,752 cars of this model have switched to Ukrainian plates.
In third place is the Skoda Octavia with a result of 8,488 customs-cleared and registered cars.
The list continues with the Audi A6; 7,987 Ukrainians became owners of this model.
The top five leaders of the primary market for passenger cars with mileage is closed by the Opel Zafira – 6,998 units.
