For the fifth month in a row, the indicators of the passenger car segment of the domestic automotive industry are based only on the statistics of semi-knocked-down assembly, which is carried out by the Eurocar enterprise. In May, 374 Škoda cars were produced at the facilities in Zakarpattia, which is 39% less than the April result.
Compared to May of last year, even taking into account the extremely low base for comparison, the production of passenger cars decreased by 43.5 percent.
The production of commercial vehicles also continues to decline. Compared to May 2017, the volume of truck production decreased by almost 17%, and compared to April of the current year, it halved, stopping at the mark of 5 vehicles.
The summary still lacks information about KrAZ: this manufacturer, starting from August 2016, for unclear reasons, does not publish data on the number of produced vehicles.
At the same time, the production of buses in the reporting month showed growth: by 17% compared to May 2017 and by 26% compared to April 2018, reaching a volume of 63 units.
