The European presentation of the Skoda Karoq took place in May, and at the end of July the first examples of the crossover rolled off the assembly line at the plant in the Czech town of Kvasiny.

The Karoq differs radically from its predecessor, both externally and technically. The model is built on the modular MQB platform, which also underpins the Volkswagen Tiguan and Seat Ateca crossovers.
In Ukraine, the Karoq is currently available with only two engines: a 1.5 TSI petrol turbo with 150 hp and a two-liter diesel with 190 hp. Both power units work in conjunction with a 7-speed DSG "robot" gearbox, and the diesel version can also boast all-wheel drive.
