The number of first registrations of used cars almost doubled compared to the same period last year, when reduced excise rates already applied to such cars.
In September, cars with mileage accounted for 40 percent of the market.
Renault became the leader among used cars — 1,000 first registrations, which accounted for 58% of the total number of registered cars of this brand in September. Volkswagen dropped to second place: 974 cars with mileage were recorded, or 56% of the brand's total volume. Skoda took third place (592 units). New and used cars of this Czech brand were registered almost equally in September. Opel confidently holds the fourth position with a result of 362 used cars, which equals 94% of the brand's primary registrations for the month. Nissan closes the top five — 268 cars with mileage received Ukrainian license plates, or 38% of the brand's total sales.
In total, since the beginning of the year, 38,588 imported used passenger cars have been registered in Ukraine, which is 5.7 times more than in the first nine months of 2016.
