On July 11, the bill No. 5624 was approved and signed by the President of Ukraine, providing for a postponement of the introduction of the Euro-6 environmental standard until 2020.
The President signed a law amending the Law of Ukraine "On Certain Issues of Import of Vehicles into the Customs Territory of Ukraine and Registration of Vehicles." The amendments concern the timing of the introduction of Euro-6 environmental standards.
As a result, the transition to the stricter Euro-6 standard has been postponed by two years — from January 1, 2018 to January 1, 2020. This decision applies to all categories of vehicles.
