In the last month of spring, 4,522 used passenger cars were registered in Ukraine. Compared to May last year, this figure increased more than twentyfold.

The list of five brands leading in primary registrations of used cars in May is identical to what we see based on the results of the first five months of the current year.

Renault has held the first place for the fourth consecutive month. In May, 886 used cars of this brand were registered, which equals 56 percent of all Renault passenger car registrations.

In second place, also for the fourth consecutive month, is Volkswagen — 782 units. This makes up two-thirds of the total number of registered cars of this brand.

Skoda has consistently held the third position since the beginning of the year — 573 cars. In May, the ratio of used to new Skoda cars was 51 to 49 percent.

Opel retains the fourth place in the current year. Used cars of this brand are registered significantly more often than new ones: 392 units, or 94 percent of all May sales of the brand.

Closing the top five most popular foreign cars with mileage in Ukraine is Nissan — 247 primary registrations. Thus, the share of used cars in Nissan's total sales within the brand was 42 percent.
