Thus, the total volume of the primary market for passenger cars last month reached 11,222 vehicles, with the share of used cars on it amounting to 35 percent. The Ukrautoprom Association notes that a year ago, imported second-hand cars accounted for only 15% of primary passenger car sales.
Compared to the result of March last year, the market for imported used cars grew 4.5 times, and compared to the results of the previous month, it increased by 30 percent.
The most popular brands in the import of used passenger cars remain Renault (834 units), Volkswagen (715 units), Skoda (502 units), Opel (360 units), and Nissan (174 units). Moreover, for the first four brands from the presented top five, the number of used cars exceeds the number of new ones in the total volume of primary registrations.
In total, during the first quarter, 9,156 used passenger cars received Ukrainian registration, which is almost 4 times more than in the same period last year.
