Trade operations at the Korosten station between Mozyr and Novopolotsk fuel were carried out by ZNGK, SOCAR, OKKO and Alliance Oil Ukraine, offering products at prices ranging from UAH 22,900 to 23,000 per tonne. Alliance Oil Ukraine additionally offered the same resource in the Rivne region at UAH 22,800 per tonne.

The product of Russian origin, shipped from the Novograd-Volynsky station, rose in price to UAH 22,800–23,000 per tonne. Only two companies were involved in its sale — E.Connect and Temirtrans-Zakhid. SOCAR, in turn, delivered Greek Arctic to the Mykolaiv port and set an attractive price of UAH 23,100 per tonne.

In the gasoline market on January 5, the first batches of Belarusian A-92 appeared. Temirtrans-Zakhid and Business Solutions sell it in Korosten at UAH 27,200–27,500 per tonne. As a result, the average price of A-92 increased by UAH 2,000 per tonne compared to the end of last year. As for A-95, its offer is currently available exclusively from Ukrtatnafta at UAH 27,600 per tonne.

The key driver of the price increase was the rise in excise tax rates. From January 1, 2017, new excise taxes were introduced: €213.5 per 1000 liters for gasoline (in 2016 it was €171), and €139.5 per 1000 liters for diesel fuel (in 2016 it was €97–125).
