This will happen on January 1, 2016. From that moment, for importing new cars into Ukraine, there will be no need to go through the bureaucratic certification procedure.
Let me remind our readers that mandatory certification covered not only the manufacturer's model range but also modifications within those ranges.
That is, each body type or model series is already a new certification. For buyers, this simply increases the cost of the car. Moreover, most foreign cars imported into Ukraine are produced at world brands' factories and have various international certificates of conformity. In our country, the procedure existed more as a means of collecting money, since there are actually no facilities, procedures, or modern standards for conducting tests in Ukraine.
You will agree that a car certified according to 45 parameters in Europe is unlikely to need additional certification here according to 10 parameters. Especially since European requirements are much stricter than Ukrainian ones.
