Such a provision is included in the Memorandum signed with the International Monetary Fund. The initiator of the premature cancellation of the duty may be the headquarters of the World Trade Organization.
The document states: if the WTO does not approve the additional import duty, its effect will be terminated early, without waiting for the end of 2015.
As is known, parliamentarians introduced this duty at the end of 2014, but immediately stipulated that it would only take effect upon successful coordination with international structures. Apparently, the Cabinet of Ministers failed to secure the support of the WTO — this is, in fact, what the Memorandum confirms.
