This is due to the difficult situation in the country and the unstable exchange rate. The company's management also complains about the lack of state support. According to the management, if production resumes, it will not happen before April. Currently, only the capacities for producing spare parts are utilized.
"Unfortunately, the government does not support the domestic automotive industry, and with such fluctuations in the exchange rate and the overall situation in the country, the enterprise cannot plan its activities," says ZAZ Chairman of the Board Mykola Yevdokymenko.
Recall: Last year, the plant reduced passenger car production by 33.6%. At the same time, the Cherkasy plant "Bogdan" and the Kremenchuk automobile assembly plant completely stopped their production lines.
