Autoportal has already reported that in January 2015, Ukrainians bought 2,597 new cars.
These figures say little to the average citizen. Therefore, our colleagues from AUTO-Consulting decided to compare the indicators of January 2015 with the sales results of almost 20 years ago and with the indicators of the record year 2008 for the car market.
Let us emphasize once again that compared to January 2014, in the first month of 2015 sales decreased almost 5 times. And, if we look back, it becomes clear that the past January threw the Ukrainian car market back 17 years - to 1998, when about 2 thousand new cars were also sold.
And now, let's recall 2008. Then in January, 47,169 new cars were sold. That is, compared to this indicator, the car market has already collapsed by 18 (!) times.
