Autoportal has already reported that patrol police officers will replace the traffic police employees.
The government hopes that the renewed police will be able to avoid corruption and earn the trust of citizens.
To prevent law enforcement officers from being tempted, they have been promised a decent monetary allowance. According to the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Arsen Avakov, monthly payments are planned in the range from 6 to 10 thousand hryvnias.
However, the minister clarified that these amounts have not yet been finally approved, and after the budget cut, they may be revised.
