Since at the beginning of 2014 only about 6 thousand employees worked there. No one is going to fire all employees yet, at least that's what the company's press service claims.
The low figures of the last and the month before last are explained by the situation in the country, which significantly affects the automotive industry. The devaluation of the national currency, the situation in the East of the country, the suspension of sales in the Luhansk and Donetsk regions, and of course in Crimea, are factors that directly influenced the need to reduce volumes.
The press service noted: "Production volumes in the coming months will largely depend on the stabilization of the economic situation in the country."
We remind you that in the last few days, rumors about the closure of ZAZ have been circulating in the Ukrainian press. These reports mention the figure of 21 thousand workers that the enterprise is forced to lay off, and some production facilities are put up for sale. UkrAvto denies this information.
