The traffic police project envisages an annual technical inspection for cars older than three years. For cars younger than three years, technical inspection is not required.

The head of the traffic police department, Anatoliy Sirenko, believes that “serviceable cars should drive on the roads. To do this, we will initiate the resumption of technical inspection.” He also said that he considers it necessary to conduct technical inspection twice a year for cars older than 15 years.

This initiative will be considered at the road safety forum on June 27-28.
