The local traffic police department appeals to the residents of Donetsk with a request to refrain from traveling around the city on May 27, unless there is an urgent need. It is especially not recommended to travel to the areas of the airport and the railway station. The department warns that until the situation stabilizes, restrictions or a complete ban on traffic may be introduced in certain areas of the city.
Earlier in the morning, media reports appeared that heavy military equipment, including "Grad" and "Uragan" launchers and T-64 tanks, had been deployed to the east of Ukraine. The arrival of this equipment is presumably associated with the start of a new phase of the anti-terrorist operation.
