The standard Ram 1500 TRX is equipped with a 6.2-liter V8 engine producing 702 hp and 880 Nm; this same engine, along with the chassis and most of the body and interior, will be carried over to the future SUV. However, the unit will undergo significant changes, and as a result, its power will increase to 1012 hp, and torque to 1314 Nm! The engine will be mated to an 8-speed TorqueFlite 8HP9 automatic transmission and all-wheel drive.

Such a setup will allow the Mammoth 1000 to become the fastest SUV in the world: it is expected to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph (96 km/h) in 3.2 seconds, and can cover a quarter-mile drag (402 meters) in 11.4 seconds.

In addition to the powerful engine and redesigned rear section, the Hennessey Mammoth 1000 SUV will also receive a modified bumper with LED lighting, improved off-road suspension (and an increased ground clearance of 65 mm), 20-inch wheels with off-road tires, and a slightly "reworked" interior.

The production run of the Mammoth 1000 will be only 20 units, with each example priced at $375,000.
