The tuned version from Alpina is based on the M50i modification with a twin-turbocharged 4.4-liter V8 engine. Specialists increased the engine's power from the factory 530 to 621 horsepower, and torque grew from 750 to 800 Nm. The upgrades also affected the 8-speed automatic transmission, which is now called Alpina Switch-Tronic. The crossover accelerates to 100 km/h in 4.2 seconds, half a second faster, and to 200 km/h in 14.9 seconds. The top speed is artificially limited to 290 km/h.

The exterior of the Alpina XB7 is distinguished by a signature aerodynamic body kit, rear diffuser, and large 23-inch Alpina Classic wheels fitted with special Pirelli tires.
Inside the crossover, there is a crystal iDrive selector, a digital instrument cluster Live Cockpit Professional, and decorative CraftedClarity glass inserts. For an additional cost, you can order Lavalina leather upholstery for the seats.

On the German market, the Alpina XB7 is priced at a minimum of 155,200 euros, while the standard BMW X7 M50i starts at 115,400 euros.
